Ferro silicon is an atomized alloy,which is formed by combining iron and silicon with a silicon content range of 15% to 90%. Ferro silicon is a universal “heat blocker” used in the production of carbon and stainless steels.

Ferro silicon Feature
Ferro Silicon is used as an essential alloy in the production of steel and cast iron. Ferro silicon is produced by reduction of silica or sand with coke in the presence of iron.
Ferro silicon is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from their oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys. In the manufacture of cast iron, ferro silicon is used for inoculation of the iron to accelerate graphitization.
